My passion for painting began over 10 years ago while living in Los Angeles. Although I have a BFA in drawing & ceramics, it was not until a few years after getting my degree that I discovered how much I love to paint. My preference is to work with oil on canvas. I love using the slow drying time for blending and manipulating the paint and shapes. It also gives me time to change my mind about my direction when I see things happening in the painting, thus influencing my work further. I find much of my inspiration to paint and create in nature: clouds, trees, flowers, water and the human figure. I am moved by the natural curves, twists and turns of tree trunks, branches and the vast shapes and movement of clouds.
